Helping your child learn how to take control of their life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.
Psychotherapy is a general term for treating mental health problems by talking with a psychiatrist, psychologist or other mental health provider. During psychotherapy, you learn about your condition and your moods, feelings, thought and behaviors. Psychotherapy helps you learn how to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.
Therapy Associates provides mental health psychotherapy to children, adolescents, parents, and families in a positive, supportive, solution-focused environment. Our mental health professionals utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundation for treatment. CBT is a form of treatment that focuses on examining the relationships between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With children, this work is done through play and talking. Our therapists strongly value the parent-child relationship and work to balance individual work with clients, while supporting family dynamics and relationships.
